I’m speaking from personal experience here. I was in a prayer meeting with a young woman who was born blind. She was prayed for and several minutes later she started actually being able to see! She looked right in my face!
The people who were there were told that she was receiving her sight. They should have been praising the Lord! But they only gave an “Amen” and kept on with their singing. They were absorbed in themselves.
A few minutes later her sight started going away again. I took her home that night, still blind.
My friend did not have a completed healing because the people there did not praise the Lord when it was obvious that He was working. So it is possible that you can actually have a miracle but lose it if you do not praise the Lord with your whole heart when you see Him move.
That seems like a pretty capricious God you serve. My God works His will despite the frailty of his people. It’s called grace and mercy —undeserved and impossible from a human standpoint. Were the 9 lepers struck down again after only the one returned?
If God requires goodness without His providence, what need of a Savior? All our righteousness is as filthy rags.
So God is an Indian giver?
So He punished the girl with continued blindness because the folks around her didn't pray hard enough?
Interesting.
