Teh gheys.

“Romance” in the theaters has been of the lavender variety for 2 decades now.

“Art films”, corporate “indie” films, and the major studio comedies.

Great romantic comedies and romantic movies exist. They just don’t exist in Hollywood.

For several years, I have been watching K Dramas, or dramas made in Korea.

They have wonderful, clean and wholesome plots.

They are technically superior to Hollywood and the actors are far better than Hollywood.

You will get used to the sub-titles quickly.

Take a look at Drama Fever. It is a streaming service and I urge you to give it a try.

I miss the comedic talents of Doris Day, Meg Ryan, Debbie Reynolds, Jim Garner, Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn, etc.

IMHO, Doris’s funniest film was The Glass Bottom Boat. Rod Taylor was her romantic interest, but the film had lots of talent in it: Dom Deluise, Paul Lynde, Dick Martin, Arthur Godfrey, etc. One laugh after another. It is a bit dated as it converns top government secrets during the early sputnik days.
