What is it? What’s it about?
Oddly, IMDB lists TWO movies named “Persecuted” beling released this year. The other one is a cold war era thriller also relating to Christian persecution.
Then every Christian will find it impossible to run a business, attend school, keep a job, etc.
They will make homeschooling illegal or force parents to get certified. Certification will require teaching that being gay is OK. Parents who don't send their children to schools that teach gay is OK, or who don't homeschool their kids "properly" will be prosecuted for failure to educate their children properly.
Why go through all the trouble of framing one guy when you can make all Christians felons at the stroke of a pen?
I saw this last night.
I wanted to like this movie. I really did.
The movie spoke rightly about religious freedom, morality and Christianity. The heros were inspired evangelical Christians and Catholics. The enemies were some elements of the federal government and evangelical Christians who saw the ministry as a business.
But the movie was very disjointed. It was too formulatic. Not believable.
I give it a 3 out of 10: Not offensive, but not worth your time or your money.
