Are meant to be humerous, unless your lifestyle is so wrapped up in the brand of computer you use that you take it as a personal attack, poor you. You must seriously lack the humor gene. Not to mention that you missed the fact that you did the very same thing, and poorly.

Now, when you see your words laid out before you in their stark ugliness, you try to backtrack and claim you meant them in jest? And then you claim it's MY error for misunderstanding your hidden humorous intent? No way! Not acceptable.

You don't get it. No, Lx, we no longer find it humorous. Not a bit after YEARS of hearing it. Repeated ad nauseum. It long ago lost even a little bit of humor. Mean spirited, nasty comments are NOT funny. You are not funny. It's the humor of an adolescent pissing in the punch bowl. You come across with all the humor of a skunk at a picnic. It's trite and way over used. Yes, our sense of humor about being insulted, belittled, called names, and treated as if we are stupid has long ago reached the point of non-existence. I would not allow my children to watch the insult humor sitcoms. Too bad your parents allowed you to watch them. You learned bad behavior was the norm. You think you can get away with juvenile behavior because of Internet anonymity. Try it face-to-face sometime.

Your approach is especially egregious when you, speaking ex cathedra, claim superior expertise and knowledge in the subject matter, bad mouth the useability of a computer platform in business, then you show your level of experience with what you're denigrating is at least ten years out of date, but then continue bad mouthing people who are expertly working contemporaneously cross networking these computers in business, and demonstrate that expertise.

Lx, some of us have been CIOs. (Hell I've been a CEO and President of a couple of corporations and founder of two non-profit charities. What's your CV look like?) That's what my company does for businesses who can't afford a full time CIO. I provide the IT services my clients need. . . and you have the gall to tell me to "Now go get your shine box?" (Is that more of your trademark innocent humor?) Frankly, you come across as a low level IT grunt. (Yes, that's an ad hominem attack, but it's what you've earned, at this point.)

You are the smaller, nastier person for continuing to misbehave, acting so idiotically, insultingly superior. . . You have been told by others you are belittling yourself with your attitude!

And speaking of ad hominim, didn't you do the same thing to TXnMA when you belittled his Barracuda project, pot, meet, whiny kettle

No, Lx, I did not attack TXnMA's Barracuda project, nor yours on your car. I have nothing but respect for both your and TXnMA's restoration efforts on classic automobiles. So, Lx, I don't accept the "pot" title. Send your "pot/kettle" accusation and nastiness to DennisW on that. You generally won't find me using ad hominem attacks. I will disparage and disagree with your opinion, but not attack you personally. You, on the other hand jump immediately to attack people. . . Attacking everyone who disagrees with you.

How much time did you spend writing your screed?

How long? Not long at all, Lx. I'm a published author. I've been a publisher and an editor. (More for my CV.) Writing is second nature to me. You're not worth much of my time. Call it ten minutes.

As I've observed before, your mind is closed. Heaven forbid you should have an opinion not spoon fed to you by your exalted leader, your infallible "CIO."

That's called outsourced IT and I do it to Mr. Trump.

If your religion computer was so great, why isn't the world beating a path to its door?

You whine like a little girl, it's a computer, not a heart lung machine machine but to listen to you, it saves lives, reduces global warming and replenishes the oil supply.

You seem awfully intertwined with a computer, my estimate of your Dunning Kruger was off by magnitudes.

I guess when you imagine that you're on the right side of history, the ad hominem attack against TXnMA was justified. Stop whining, use your computer and again, stop with the little girl whining. I bet it took you an hour to write your screed; me, five minutes. Why?, I don't care.

Go evangelize somewhere else. Does your domestic partner have to put up with this on a daily basis?

Did I hit a a juicy target? Based on your writing, I don't think a Pulitzer is in your future and anyone can be an editor, ever hear of Wikipedia? You're frothy writing style is indicative of what, a ten year old? Embrace your MAC, it's probably all you have.

If you had accomplished all you say you have, you'd not even bother with an FR post.
