Look Lx, I've taught logic. . . I have no need to look up ad hominem to learn its meaning. I've also judged debate tournaments. I know logical error when I see it.

I have never attacked you personally. I've questioned the state of your knowledge about Macs, but pointed out you can learn. That's all. You are the one who has been using ad hominem in your posts on here.

Where did you attack Mac users? In almost every post you wrote in this thread. You came in swinging with a chip on your shoulder.

You are the one who does not understand what ad hominem attacks are. . . you use ad hominem attacks when you use phrases such as:

"Boy, MAC fanboys are clueless. . .,"

Yet you claim you haven't used ad hominems? Wow. Lx, except for the first five which were directed at Mac users in general, EVERY ONE OF THOSE smarmy, snarky ad hominem comments, which are sprinkled throughout your every comment on this thread, (except when you were discussing cars with TXnMA, and even then you dropped in a few, were ad hominem attacks on Mac users), the rest were personally directed to me and are intended to insult me, denigrate me, belittle me, to make other thread readers question my maturity, veracity, sanity, and ultimately discount what I post. They are not in any way germane to the topic at hand, and intended to belittle the person: ergo, they are classic "ad hominem," an attack to the man, not the facts or the logic.

These deliberately snide personal attacks and insults directed to me are apparently intended to make me look smaller and weaker than you, but they have the opposite effect. They weaken your position. Lx, you didn't just attack me, you used ad hominem attacks against EVERYONE who disagreed with you. Everyone. Look back, you'll see I'm right. You always go for the jugular. Look at your responses to Coon2000. TXnMA. If they disagreed with the wisdom of you, they were suddenly "fanboys" and "clueless hipsters" who you have "little regard for" in your superior position as a Windows' IT GOD!

As to your little research project on me, perhaps you noticed that I post on Apple threads because I have been asked to do so by over 570 of your fellow Freepers to do so. Perhaps you may have also noticed I maintain the Apple/Mac/iPhone/iPad/iOS Ping list on FreeRepublic of those 570 plus of your fellow Freepers who ARE interested in those topics. That means I post on those subjects. . . and you will therefore find me on those topics. What a surprise. They have asked me to provide accurate information when false information is posted and many members of the ping list regularly thank me for my efforts in responding to mis-information like that which you have posted. I take the requests of 570 Freepers far more importantly than your negative FUD attitude.

You do not know me at all. I lead a full life, have many aspects to my life far beyond the few minutes I spend on FreeRepublic. You know nothing about my relationships, my family. You've ignored the truthful bio snippets I've revealed on here in your rush to denigrate me. You insult me to try and win a few points in a debate. Sad. How very Liberal of you. You apparently cannot stand being challenged by someone with experiential and authoritative factual data. If there's a bully here, it seems to be you. . . and you position in your vaunted IT department dictating everyone must kowtow to the great god of Windows. You are pathetic.

You are simply outnumbered in this equation. Just this thread alone has resulted in two more Freepers requesting to be added to the Ping list. . . and they do not agree with you.

Frankly, Lx, Mac users are damned tired of seeing the same old crap like that which you posted time after time, year after year, when most of us know it simply is not true. Most of us are fully versed in Windows. We are almost all ex-Windows users who just do not want to do that any more! We've used them at work. We've owned them. We chose to no longer put up with them. We do not need to be told how stupid we are in the choice of computer we've made by people like you who do not use a Mac. We do not need the insults, being called "cultists," by a majority of bigoted people, yes, bigoted, who are stuck with machines we chose to throw out of our lives in a conscious, well considered, intelligent decision. We've had years of it. We are damn well tired of it! Stop! It is not your job to save us from ourselves. GIVE IT A REST!
