Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.
Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

If memory serves from the original video, and i could be wrong, the cat plays with cups like that.
Reminded me of my Kearen, she picked up small dishes and waled arpund like that while meowing.
Well, trilling, huffing, and “vrumphing”.

I created this Hollywood movie-style gag bomb that doubles as an alarm clock and a countdown timer. This is a fun project that you can build in a day or two. It is made using an 8051 microcontroller.
The project can be easily done with other microcontrollers or an Arduino, or you can even hack an old digital clock for this purpose. It is a fun gag that will look cool on your desk and can be used as a prank, a desk clock, or just a kitchen timer.

In 1992 or '93, I was at a seminar in Tucson. Every day my drive from the hotel to the conference center took me past a place called the Spy Store or the Spy Shop.
One day, after sessions, I decided to make a stop.
The store sold those items, with either an analog or digital clock. The TNT sticks were in a greasy reddish paper.
The countdown timer worked on a mercury switch so that when you picked it up, the analog clock's second hand would start at two minutes, or the digital clock would start counting down from two minutes.
It was the kind of thing I would have purchased, if I hadn't been through the whole FBI - we build the rockets in our garage - OKC bombing - Cub Scouting deal I've mentioned here before.

Did you ever feel strangled? What with our lawn service issues, I'm always expecting the grass to grow in the windows and throttle us.
It's pouring rain here ... the kind of weather my Uncle Frank would say was the time to go outside and warsh yer head.

I’m home. I will have to leave again on Friday to do laundry, but for now, I’m home.
It feels as if I’ve been in seclusion for no good reason...

Glad you’re home. It is not raining here, for the moment. I’ll start making supper in a few minutes.

My house is in such chaos, I can’t stand looking at it. The almost-week-away was VERY detrimental to the progress I was making in the reorganization and vamping up of the overall picture.
And worse, still, is the ugly aroma of second-hand cigarette smoke that has permeated the furniture since I’ve been gone. I have been burning a candle in each room, and when the A/C kicks on, I find an incense stick.
GAH!
