Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.
Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

I’m fighting with my computer. I evidently downloaded something I didn’t see when I went to use OpenOffice.org, and it high-lights and underscores words in bold. I need to find it and disable the little wuzzer before it drives me nuts.
Yep. Now I have to go on a Search and Destroy mission.
Have fun!

The media only cares about dead soldiers if the President is a Republican.
Prayers up.
Ping, pass it on.
dang ... Thank You LibreOuMort for the information and prayers are on the way for our finest People, their Families and Friends. Another prayer will be said that you and yours are safe.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen.
I’m still fighting with WinAte, and as soon as I take my evening pills, I’m going to bed. Oh. Wait. I have to watch “Father Brown” on PBS. Never mind.
I installed OpenOffice.org, then installed my Dragon Software, and as soon as I can I will begin to transfer a lot of journal entries to the Slave. It will be a while, I think, as I still need to finish getting this place shipshape. The foot is making it harder to function normally.
Still, I’m optimistic. Maybe I can make some progress in another month or two. It needs to be done.
Good luck with the computer and the cleanup. Yes, it is hard to do thing with broken toes. It’s happened to me several times!
I’ve fed the cats and the gerbils. Pat gave the gecko a drink. All is well.
I wish it were broken toes. It’s the bone(s) at the top of the foot, where the arch is. Miserable thing, this.
One of my ACE bandages is too narrow, the other is too wide. Tomorrow, I will try to keep my foot up, with ice.
The cough is lessening, and that’s good.
Oh, OW.
Yep. OW is right.
My WW cookbook came today. Very comprehensive, with lots of good recipes, including points and other nutritional information.
Lots of GOOD things!
Praying now.
Off to bed. Tomorrow, then!
Have a good night, enjoy your cookbook! If it’s more than 5 years old, watch your oil amounts. They used to use Tablespoons of oil, and now it’s teaspoons.
Thank you!
Prayers lifted for all of them and their families.
Prayers up and continuing.
