Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.
Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

It IS morning, I’m told. I had some chest pains last night, which may explain why I haven’t been feeling all the great the last few days.
I realized yesterday that I hadn’t ordered the CoQ10 or the kidney-bladder pills I take, so I’m hoping I don’t have too many bad days for the rest of the month. It’s probably because I’ve been so preoccupied with everything Busdaddy in the last two weeks. Obviously, I’m not taking care of me.
It took me two hits of nitro, and breathing treatments of all three meds before I got the angina under control. My bad.
So I have the S-L-O-W-s this morning.

These days, I eat about one donut a year, but I confine mine to glazed or chocolate glazed and once in a while, a French cruller.
I just don’t have the desire to eat them any more.
