Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.
Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

One would think so, for sure. Having worked in customer service for more than 20 years, I’m very aware of making sure the customer is informed on my watch.
What the other CSRs did was unpredictable, and I can’t count the times I had to make corrections in a customer’s belief. GAH!
Busdaddy felt so bad for Abrams Scout about the police coming to his door. “All he wanted to do was help his dad!”
Pretty sad. I’m sure, in another state, the issue could have been taken care of by a gun owner who just happened to work at UPS.
Yes, Moosie, it was, indeed, the stainless steel model.
The burglary has been upgraded to grand larceny, so if the perps are caught (REALLY good chance!) they will go to jail and Busdaddy will get his handguns back.
That is a tragic loss indeed.
That was my ‘First’ , that i owned. You never forget your first revolver.
Fingers crossed.
Burglars need to be put in the Stocks in the town square for a month....then deleted.
It was also HIS first, and he was very proud of it. It hurt his heart to lose it.
I don’t think there is a punishment that is “bad” enough for a thief. Two things I can’t stand are liars and thieves and over my lifetime, I’ve noticed they are interchangeable.
I pray daily these two will be caught. If they try to pawn the swag, they are in deep doo-doo...everything has serial numbers.
Now, how separate, individual “parts” of an item are required to be in one “container” for that “container” to be considered to be containing the “whole” thing?
(For discussion purposes only, off course, not against the interests of the innocent and uninterested federal government who are not spying on US citizens, of course.)
That, my dear unseen-for-ages Robt, is food for thought. I shall consider the ramifications of such actions on the general public.

ooops
shipping everything BUT the receiver is OK...
I just got the BSOD again for the second time this week. Things are not looking good for ‘Face’s continuing presence on FR...
Maybe, by the end of this week I will be able to figure out what is going on. As if I didn’t already know this thing is dying. I will transfer all that I can to the flash drive and pretend this won’t affect me.
(Hahahaha!)
And so, I’m off to bed.
Yup.
You have to ship from an ffl holder to an ffl holder.
Say, from a Gander mtn store to a gander mtn store.
(One hypothetical method of said transport.)
How come I go to work to rest up from my activities of the weekend?
My wife would assure you that I haven’t done anything.
I’m here, but I don’t know for how long. I have to transfer the photos I scanned to the slave in the event that this crashes and I can’t revive it.
Today, I will go to Aaron’s and see what a new one will cost me. I certainly don’t relish having to buy another computer at this time. It’s just not a good time. But then, I don’t know when would be a good time.
I don’t rely on the perceptions of others.
Me either.
