Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.
Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

Oh, yes ... they’ve been out for a month and a half, maybe 11 weeks. The earliest restart date I’ve seen is August 16.

I did see where Santa Claus went nuts. Saw the video and everything. It is a mission to rescue Mrs. Santa Claus, am certain. Santa was a bad boy but forces are being assembled for one purpose only and that is to take Mrs. Claus out to dinner since Santa is in jail. Mrs. Claus has taken over the operation since she was the only one left alive after Santa knock off all the Elves and raindeer.

I miscalculated, more like 7 weeks. Most schools let out in the second week of June, and return in late August or early September.
