You have the right to refuse to give a LEO your ID if you don’t want to. This thug cop just got pissed because someone questioned his authority. Gotta show the plebes who’s boss.
If the LEO stops you and tells you why, i.e., because of an infraction, I don’t think your right prevails. I could be wrong. Regardless, if he stops you for an infraction and whether you produce ID or not, if you act an ass and resist arrest, you get what you’re asked for.
The LEO gave her a reason for asking for ID. Probably Cause of a crime/infraction being committed. She was acting like an ass. He was not.
