I’d bet most vets either tell them it’s none of their business or tell them they don’t have any guns.

My doctor asked this and I answered no even though I had a (legally carried) gun in my pocket. It’s none of their business. Seriously, anybody who answered yes would be asking for no end of scrutiny and hassle. The thing is, when they supply your credit card info any ammo purchases or gun cleaning supplies will flag you instantly.
