I don't know these people. Heck. I don't know anyone any more. I have very little exposure to TV or pop culture. But I did see some TV the other day and I was amazed at how very prevalent the attitude of "Look at me! Look at me! I'm marketing myself! Aren't I fabulous? Hey, I will tell you that you are fabulous, if you tell me that I'm fabulous!! Isn't that fabulous?!" has become.
Nobody is really working or producing works of consequence. They're too busy selling themselves as "personalities".
A commodity on which they're usually remarkably short.
