My kids and I went to a wild life rescue place in Alaska a few years ago. We saw a baby porcupine. This caused me to commit a “do as I say, not as I do” error in parenting that haunts me to this day (because the kids remind me). There was a big sign: “Do not touch the porcupine”, because people can transmit their germs to him and he might get sick, basically. Well, I couldn’t help it. I petted the adorable porcupine, but then told the kids they couldn’t. They had to obey the sign. Sigh....
In the local Pet shop they sell hedgehogs.
There is a sign, Do not pet the hedgehogs.
You do and everybody in the store will know it..............;^)
