That would take a coordinated, neighborhood-wide effort involving everyone having plenty of guns and cameras, in addition to a cell-phone network to make sure there is a permanent, off-site record of the JBTs’ behavior. And some of them should probably not go home safe.

With enough evidence, the lawsuits will fly. Some fine citizen should suggest that the payouts to the victims should come from the personal finances of the JBTs.

And how about, “Kill a beloved, gentle pet, lose a hand, foot, arm, etc. in ascending severity until the JBT stops killing beloved pets in front of their hysterical owners and their crying children.”
