HANOI, Vietnam — The day after tough talks between Vietnam and China that made no progress over a Chinese oil rig in the South China Sea, the Chinese government said Thursday it was sending a second rig to waters close to Vietnam.

"It was not immediately clear if the second rig would end up in waters disputed by Vietnam and China."

So maybe. Maybe not. Just saying.

I guess the Chicoms don’t recall what happened last time they tangled with the Cong. Of course times have changed as Putin’s backing is missing now as they seem more cozy with the Chicoms.
