The old timers at my club put the music on outside by the Bocce Court on Saturday and Sunday/ They call it “music to bomb Japan to”.
This grabs just about all ages of people.

I love the Big Band music. I found lots of Sammy Kaye records at a Salvation Army store not long ago.
I consider myself lucky to have seen, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton (3 times) and Buddy Rich all in live performances. My college spring formal in 1970 with Woody Herman’s band was especially memorable. I saw Buddy Rich perform in a small local club..absolutely awesome. I continue to enjoy this big band music.
