Bradshaw on Peyton: If you like losing Super Bowls, he’s your guy
NBC Sports ^ | June 19, 2014 | Michael David Smith

Former Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw says current Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is great — as long as you stop watching after the regular season ends.

Bradshaw said during his his one-man show, America’s Favorite Dumb Blonde, that he views Manning as a regular-season star and a playoff choker.

“Peyton Manning, considered the best quarterback to play the game today. Nobody would argue with that — if you like winning good during the season and losing Super Bowls, that’s your guy,” Bradshaw said, via PFT Commenter.

Cheap shot. I agree.

That wasn’t a pretty Super Bowl, but they had the people to shut down Manning’s receivers. Not much more you can say. Manning is another one of the NFLs pro-quarterback quarterbacks.

I think NFL offense is boring. Shotgun/pass, shotgun, pass, shotgun/obvious handoff for a few yards, kick.

They’ve both lost 2. But there’s a lot of difference between being 1-2 and 3-2. 3 rings puts Brady in rarefied air, not many QB get that many. And 5 total trips even with 2 loses is also a rare feat.

Five total trips is unmatched by any quarterback in history.

Yes. As much as I love to hate Brady, he's definitely a great QB.

And worthy of much respect.

As stated above, he's great because he works with what he has. Even when "big names" leave the Patriots, he adjusts, and thrives.

Now Bradshaw, I'm sorry to say was never considered a "great" QB. He just happened to play for the best team in the '70s.

Even a mediocre QB benefits when surrounded by unbelievable talent.

Staubach was a great QB, and also played on a great team.

So head to head, I'd pick Staubach as "better" than Bradshaw, despite having fewer rings.

Bradshaw? Wasn’t he a backup to Phil Robertson?

I agree with you VSA. If you take a close look at those 4 superbowl rings that he has, it is easy to tell that that was pretty much a fluke.

Ah geez.

There was a guy out of the SEC a few years ago now...

Quarterback.

Won a couple of national championships.

Won a Heisman I believe.

Wonder what happened to him...

His playing style didn’t work in the NFL. Did for Florida.

The Giants did not win Super Bowls after Eli Manning got the money.

Before the 2009 season Eli got a six-year extension worth $ 97.5 million. In February 2012 the Giants won the 46th Super Bowl.

“Brady won his Super Bowls before he got his truly big money.”

Brady and Belichick also have not won since Spygate. Coincidence? Hmmmmmmm....

He didn’t lose two Super Bowls to the Giants?

Schmuck? Up yours. Simply making the point that Brady happened to lose two Super Bowls to Manning’s one, asswipe.

When you have one position being paid $$$, it’s tough to field a competitive team...and Manning sucks up a lot of payroll.

Those dollars are probably the true cause of Bradshaw’s petty jealousy.

Elway also has 5 trips, but he’s 2-3.

Perhaps Joe Greene, Franco Harris, Jack Hamm, Jack Lambert, and Lynn Swan, etc. should remind Bradshaw why he was a success.

It just occurred to me. Tebow was the first American to be Sterlinged.

He has had his livelihood taken away from him in violation of his first amendment right of Freedom of Religion...
