Can't wait until October when "The Walking Dead" returns? Good thing AMC is looking out for you with an all-things-zombie celebration over Fourth of July weekend: There's a "TWD" Season 5 preview edition of "Talking Dead" and two new documentaries to tide you over until the fall.
AMC will celebrate "Dead, White and Blue" weekend starting July 4 at 9 a.m. ET/PT when the network begins airing every episode of "The Walking Dead," which will culminate in a "Talking Dead Season 5 Preview Special" on Sunday, July 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT with guests Aisha Tyler and showrunner Scott M. Gimple and hosted by Chris Hardwick.
But that's not all of the new "TWD" content. AMC has produced two new "Walking Dead" documentaries set to air in July. "Inside The Walking Dead" will premiere Tuesday, July 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and feature a behind-the-scenes look at how the show is made.
"Inside The Walking Dead: Walker University" will bow Tuesday, July 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and will give an inside look -- from makeup to choreography and more -- on the transformation from extra to walker.
I also loved TURN. Unfortunately it won’t reTURN until spring, 2015. Great program and very well done.
Thanks, holymoly.
Thanks, ConjunctionJunction!
Thanks for the ping!
You’re welcome!
Where is it filmed?
TURN was picked up for a 2nd season.
FYI
In and around Petersburg & Richmond,VA. Shirley Plantation and Tuckahoe Plantation are a couple of the specific sites they use. That's maybe an hour and a half east of us. I wouldn't mind driving over and seeing if it's possible to watch the filming.
FYI"
Thank you---I read that it was. Very glad to hear it.
That would be fun. You live in beautiful country.
The biographies of all the characters are interesting. I think G. Washington is one of the few Americans. The others are British. It took a couple of shows for me to become comfortable with their accents, especially when they whispered.
Thank you, laplata. I was rewatching the next-to-last episode, and the gorgeous fall scenery was making me wish for the season.
We recorded Turn on the DVR and saved every episode so we could watch them again when the season was over. Did the same thing with Longmire. ..great shows with great scenery!!
I know...my hearing is fine, but sometimes I had to strain to hear.
O wow can’t wait. Still October is too long but the July 4 marathon will do I also think TURN will also have a marathon celebrating 4th of July. Just think Americans will be kicking butt with the Red Coats and Zombies. Awesome way to celebrate.
Love TURN and TWD. Now if only they can combine both into 1 show with no commercials that would be awesome! LOL
Woohoooooo yeah baby...more Darryl
and in TURN...BEN !!!!
Darryl and Ben !!!
Many complained about that until someone suggested put on the Close Caption on your TV to read what they are saying. I had the same problem but with time I understood.
