I’m not much of a seamstress, but your title had me in stitches.

The pleats are hanging nicely. Did you sew weights in the bottom hem?

Wasn’t clear from your previous responses if y’all actually wanted to be on the ping list or not? I did not include you, but let me know if you want to be added.

No weights at the bottom. They actually are just rectangular panels, no pleats or anything sewn in, but I lined them with a heavy blackout material and I think that’s why they hang as well as they do.

My grand-daughter turns 3 this week, so grandpa made her a cloth doll out of scrap material. I've still got some work to do on it, but I've got until Saturday to finish up the face, etc...
I got the pattern off of a Japanese web site that I will NOT link to. The Japanese are strange, and I had to modify the pattern to make it appropriate for a 3 year old American girl.

I thought this was a thread about posting threads - a meta-thread.

Go ahead and call yourself a seamstress — what’s the alternative? A sewer? — that not good!

You are right.
A perfectly fine thread you have started and a buncha noisy schoolboys have snarled it all up.
But you know how these smart pretty seamstresses can hem a boy in and pin him down...

I lined them with a heavy blackout material What exactly was that material? I have light filtering honeycomb blinds on a lot of my windows but would like to make some blinds or curtains that I could use in the event I wanted to shut out all light.
Also pinging our resident prepper thread keeper - hey Kart, some of the folks on the prepping list may be interested in Roos_Girl's new sewing thread. Sewing is a valuable skill for the self-reliant!
