People do not want to watch or think about bad things, people want to forget that, and yes, at the end there comes again that famous „it cannot happen to us“ idea.
Do you really think that when (not if) SHTF events would be much different in your part of the world? Do you think that when collapse happens, you and people around you in your town will be somehow able to organize food distribution, security and safety for residents, and all those criminals and sick bastards will somehow disappear, and there is going to be new better society? Are you under the influence of movies and you think that good guys win almost always and that there is justice and sense in everything?

God is giving us food now, money to prepare, and knowledge. IMO he expects us to provide for our families and take care of ourselves using what he provides.
Joseph gave the reason ... he said to his brothers that they meant it for evil but God meant it for good.
It was to preserve the LINE OF THE MESSIAH of Israel, as God had promised (to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) and to show God’s power and wisdom to the world and that He IS GOD ALMIGHTY knowing the beginning from the end and NOTHING can thwart His will.

I’m accusing YOU of being false and of using the Word to spread dissension. You ignore verse which doesn’t suit your agenda and certainly are taking those verses out of context.

God gave man free will that includes act of evil. My free will tells me to stand against those acts.

That is quite a forum. They take their “prepping” seriously! I enjoyed reading it and saw the comments about getting home if away when shtf.
Thanks to FReepers that “go back pack” plan came to me and I had a chance to prepare.
I have no neighbors who are preparing( from their comments and my observations) and I must plan to stand and survive alone. They totally are within the Normalcy Curve.
Job stood against evil, as God tells us there.
Still,if that doen’t happen I will have to do what I can.I’ve acquired the skill set and tools to do quite a bit,actually.
You still haven’t answered the questions. Do you work? yes, you do. Well then you must not trust in the Lord to provide.

I’ve always been given this kind of “order of priority” that a Christian would “stand for” with various pastors in various churches ... God, spouse, kids, government.
It’s pretty clear from Scripture that it’s always God first.
No, were supposed to just sit here and do nothing. Anything else demonstrates a lack of trust in the Lord. Right?
