Gardening in Phoenix in full stop. It’s been over 100 degrees for the past few weeks. People and pets are hibernating indoors in air-conditioned comfort. Plants are being watered regularly by the automatic drip system and some are still producing (zucchini, yardlong beans) and ripening(peppers, tomatoes), but no actual working in the garden happening.

We put up the 50% aluminet shade cloth a couple of weeks ago over the veggie plants. Now we just harvest what gets ripe and wait for the cooler weather in the fall.

I would be doing good to get out a few minutes to pick a tomato in those temps. Big baby when it gets too hot or too cold. Just call me goldielocks. LOL
