“There mainly sons of American servicemen. Now, care to re-think your comment a little?”
With dual-citizenships? No thanks....they’re still Mercs.
Yeah I think it’s more like 5 or 6 have English as their 2nd language. Dual-Citizenships also come into play.
International Soccer has become so Bastardized it’s embarrassing! France has fielded several teams in the World Cup that looked like they represented Africa. There’s no shortage of Brazilian Professional Footballers who have sold out their Homeland to play as mercenaries for other nations.
Unfortunately the USA has resorted to stealing talent from other nations (Germany, Iceland, Mexico, Norway) to compete at this level. Some “U.S.” Team!
Go away, troll.
What I would have given to see Cloughie leading England into a World Cup. Did you ever see ‘The Damned United’ about his short time at Leeds? A truly incredible manager. Such a charismaric character. Right up there with Shankly for me.
Instead we were left with dear old inoffensive Ron Greenwood, when we could have had Old Big ‘Ead himself.
Don’t like the look of the pitch Italy and England have got on Saturday. Looks very uneven and bobbly. Anyone know how the other pitches are looking?
Yes I saw The Damned United, at least it wasn’t quite as inaccurate as the book was.
I see Roberto Martinez is one of the ESPN analysts.
Game now under way.
Should we hold off comments for those taping the game?
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!
Croatia kicks it in.
1-0.
WTH was that idiot Marcelo doing? He put the ball in his own goal.
Brazil makes a good drive at its end.
Saved by Croatia’s goalkeeper.
Just missed a good scoring opportunity - Brazil.
An Andres Escobar special.
Too soon?
Brazil’s Neymar issued a yellow card - warning by the referee.
I don’t recognize Modric with his hair cut...He no longer looks like the guy from Happy Mondays.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!
Brazil scores!
1-1.
NEY-MAH!
Neymar scores the first legit goal of the World Cup. Tie game.
