As I read once, when you eat and your body wants to store the excess as fat, it all becomes saturated fat. So your body can’t think that saturated fat is bad.
I wonder if the eating guidelines, trying to steer people away from the diets they ate for centuries, are part of the obesity problem. If people don’t get enough of the right kind of nutrient, then it makes sense that they would be compelled to eat more food until they get enough of it.
I read somewhere that you can totally stop eating for weeks at a time.
Not that I would ever want to try that.

I have read more than one article expressing such an opinion from a scientist. Apparently, we are eating just too darn much grain and too many complex carbohydrates.
Remember the Food Pyramid that we have been told is the way to go? I read some article within the last few months that proposed that much of the make-up of that guide was pushed by those who stood to make money from selling us the grain-filled products.
