His sad legacy will be that the first African American elected President of the United States was a bizarre incompetent narcissist who led the country into an era of neo pagan decadence and decline.

There is not a single good thing that can be said about him.

I've tried considering that statement objectively, and I think it's true. The only positives I can think of with Obama are that he is neither intelligent enough nor energetic enough to do as much damage as he would like to inflict on our country.

His legacy will be the open transition of this country to a fascist system of government. We've been moving toward this since Woodrow Wilson and the series of Constitutional amendments passed by the original Progressives. FDR and LBJ moved the ball down the field -- and plenty of Republicans like Nixon and the Bushes made contributions. But, in theory, these were all politicians working within the American framework.

With Obama, the mask has fallen. Big Government helps Big Business, but there shall be no mistake: Big Government holds the whip and calls the shots. The president does what he wants and the other branches of government do not matter.

That's his legacy. And make no mistake: 2016 will not change this. The country has turned a corner and there is no going back. The people want it this way. Obama merely shows us our own desires.

He thought health care would be his legacy.

Now his people think (so Tucker Carlson says) that just being the "first Black president" will be enough -- that the country will change enough demographically so that most Americans will feel connected to him in a way that they aren't to other presidents.

It's similar to JFK. You could say that the Peace Corps or the Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam or the Bay of Pigs was his "legacy," but in truth, it's the generational thing -- the fact that he imposed himself on the consciousness of Americans as the "young president."

Of course people of Kennedy's generation and the one or two generations younger than himself who were alive in his era might feel that way, but the idea of Kennedy as young and as someone contemporary has persisted among people whose parents weren't even born when JFK was alive.

Anyway, that's what they're gambling on at this point. There's little chance BHO will put any landmark legislation through Congress and no chance relations with foreign countries are going to get much better than they have been since the initial glow faded.

I believe his legacy will be giving us the first truly conservative POTUS we’ve had since Reagan. Four years of Carter gave us eight years of Reagan. Eight years of Obama will, I truly believe, put a real conservative back in the WH. Yes, the country is pretty far gone. No, it’s not the same place that elected Reagan. But give Obama 2.5 more yrs to further tank the economy, wreck healthcare & embarrass us on the world stage, & something unexpected may, & very likely will, happen. Time will tell.

I don’t think I would call it a legacy. It will be more like a lingering odor.
