Busy weekend in the garden. Did the obligatory weeding and thinning, then hilled up the taters with leaf compost from the township and bone meal. Side dressed and mulched the tomatoes, peppers and eggplant and planted four white eggplant that I finally found. Also planted two jalepeno plants since the ones I bought last month apparently are poblanos. Found this year's volunteer tomatillo plants and will move them next weekend to their spot. Planted roma green beans where the limas refused to germinate well.

Biggest disappointment was the corn patch, most of it refused to germinate. Kept what did come up, tilled the rest and replanted as hills instead of rows.

I have had trouble with corn seed germination this year too for some reason. Sounds like the rest of the garden is doing well.
