A newly amended bill from a California lawmaker would require college students to stop in the heat of passion and establish verbal or written consent before having sex anywhere on campus, reports L.A. Weekly.
SB 967, amended last week by state Sen. Kevin de Leon (D-Los Angeles), would mandate that college students obtain "an affirmative, unambiguous, and conscious decision by each participant to engage in mutually agreed-upon sexual activity."

If verbal - do you also have to have a voice print analysis before engaging ???
If written - does it have to be notarized ???
Sheesh - What a Buzz Kill !!!

I remember it was I believe Antioch College instituted a policy a decade or two ago that one had to have verbal consent before say each step in physical intimacy. Antioch was laughed at back then but it appears they were prophets. Now one needs not just verbal consent but written consent that will stand up in a court proceeding.

I’ve got an idea. Instead of just a piece of paper, they could have a ceremony with all your friends and relatives in attendance. Maybe someone has thought of this before?
To: Lmo56
Do they need proof that the act was committed on the campus?

an agreement, signed or verbal to have sex; sounds like an agreement to prostitution.

I calculated once that I've engaged in sexual intercourse about 3200 times since I've been married. I do not recall ever getting written consent and I can count on the fingers of both hands the number of times I've gotten verbal consent.
The Mrs. and I would be childless and probably celibate if we followed this proposed law.

First lawsuit will be:
He: “You said I could. I’ve got it in writing.”
She: “I was too drunk to provide informed consent.”
Not to disparage true sexual assault (Whoopi Goldberg’s “rape, rape?”) I wonder how many accusations are due to next day recriminations, or even several days later when “he didn’t call, he didn’t text!”
