A Detroit-area man was so determined to get to Michigan from Arizona that he refused to stop and contact authorities after one of his passengers died, police said Wednesday.
The man, a 62-year-old Clinton Township resident, has not been charged and authorities were awaiting toxicology results from an autopsy performed on the body of the 31-year-old woman who died.

In Texas, moving a corpse is a crime. Not a felony, based on the circumstances, but still against the law.
Especially Detoilet.
Not to mention crossing multiple state lines without the accompanying death certificate...

My grandfather and a friend drove 200 miles one night after work with a fellow in the back seat they thought was asleep.
When they got to now deceased home they tried to wake him.
(They don’t know exactly when he died during the trip as not a sound from him to indicate duress.)
But was he a Marine Corps?
31 seems very young to die without an existing illness or sudden trauma.
Did they stop the bus in “Midnight Cowboy” when Ratso (Dustin Hoffman) died? No, they continued to the warmer weather of Florida.
Of course, that was just a movie, but the situation is similar... eventually the authorities were notified, and the passenger didn’t care.
