Makes sense. If your organs can make it to 100 they aren’t likely to just suddenly crap out at 105.

Joycelyn Elder’s biggest gaffe wasn’t the pro-masturbation “sex positive teaching” talk, it was admitting that under Hillarycare, “old people were just gonna die anyway” and that money would be better used on healthcare for the young who would be funding Social Security.

Researchers said 28% of 100- to 115-year-olds died of "old age" LOL, wonder what % is for the 116+ crowd? One thing I've learned from FR is that those "world's oldest" designations are jinxed. No sooner does someone receive the honor, he or she dies. Then the curse is passed on to the next lucky winner.
That 111 YO in Tokyo must have died from boredom, didn't get out of the house for 30 years.

“by 2066 that number is expected to increase to more than 500,000”
If I survive, I will turn 100 in 2060. The group of supercentarians will be from the baby boomer class.
To: Ezekiel
Why does nobody ever suspect foul play? The number 2 oldest never gets the attention that #1 does.

I used to chuckle at “If I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of my body.” Not so funny now.

That makes a lot of sense, because after #2 becomes #1, karma gets ‘em every time!

When I can not play golf anymore, I am done with life.
Sure my mother lived to be 103 but last 5 years she was bed ridden. I would not like that one bit.
