Father of girl who stabbed friend proudly shared her sketch of horror creature on DEADBOY Instagram

The father of one of the girls accused of brutally stabbing a school friend to pay homage to an eerie horror story character, apparently encouraged his daughter's sick obsession by proudly posting a sketch the 12-year-old drew of the scary figure on Instagram.

Morgan Geyser, 12, drew the sinister stickman, inspired by an online ghost story about a ghoulish child killer called Slender Man, on a napkin and left it in the family home while she was out with her parents were out for dinner.

But far from being alarmed by the disturbing sketch, Morgan's father Matt seemed to find it amusing and posted it on his social network account.

Beneath the picture he wrote: 'Only Mogo (Morgan) draws Slenderman in crayon on a napkin when we are out to dinner'. He tagged Morgan's mother Angela in the post and four of his friends, 'liked it' MailOnline can reveal Matt Geyser is a death metal fan, who uses the Instagram name, Deadboy420.

Matt Geyser is a fan of the 'stoner rock' band 'Deadboy and the Elephantmen'.

Email addresses linked to Matt Geyser’s name and address on public records include the words ‘ILOVEEVIL’ or variously ‘ILOVEEVIL666’.

He recently posted a picture of a ticket for a Shadows Fall concert, a group with albums including Of One Blood and The War Within.

His wife Angie has also posted a number of pictures of skulls and one eerie image of a church and grave yard at night on her Instagram page.

Mr Geyser's apparent knowledge of his daughter's obsession with the Slender Man character comes as a worrying new development in the gruesome attack that left a 12-year-old fighting for her life.

It is also concerning that he recognized the ghostly figure from a simple, stickman sketch, seemingly proving he had prior knowledge...

Not just a disturbed pre-teen. This child was introduced and encouraged to dive into the occult and evil. This is one time I believe the parents should be held as accessories. I know it cannot happen legally, but wish it could be.
As it is, I pray someone involved with the victim has started civil proceedings against this family.

She’s been charged as an adult and faces up to 60 years. I doubt there is any rehabilitation possible for either of these creatures. Keep ‘em locked up.

Slenderman is kind of interesting. The idea started in a thread on Something Awful, which is a comedy site (mostly juvenile humor) with a forum where a many users create interesting or funny Photoshop images. (I’m a longtime SA Forum guy myself)

Slenderman originated in a thread where users were making “paranormal” images. The Slenderman images were really creepy, and the forum users built up a backstory around the images. The stories included a lot of archetypes you see in myths and urban legends—children and families being stalked or abducted by supernatural entities, sinister “Men in Black” appearance, coverups by the government, people being driven crazy when they find out the truth about the creature, and so on.

A number of people have taken the idea of Slenderman and created their own drawings, photos, and videos (like Marble Hornets on Youtube). There’s even a Slendermen character in the game Minecraft.

It’s interesting how a story can take root and spread so easily. If you have access to the SA Forums, you can actually read how the character was created and developed as proof that Slenderman isn’t real. If you’re at all interested in myths or things like urban legends, Slenderman is actually an interesting example as to how stories like these arise.

Of course, there will always be crazy and disturbed people in the world. This girl, and apparently her family as well, are proof of that.

I’m going with it’s a good thing I’m not hip enough to know anything about those groups and sites.

The long-running CW series Supernatural had an episode about an invented monster/supervillain, "The Thinman."

Something about one of the ghost hunting "Ghostfacers" not wanting his colleague to quit their show.

I guess the people behind Supernatural were aware of "Slenderman."

It's creepy when TV anticipates reality, as happened with The Lone Gunmen and the 911 WTC attack.

OMG! What a POS this “father and mother” are! Both of them contributed to the delinquency of a minor, in this case, attempted murder. God help these children today, brought up by evil, devil worshipping aholes. This man and his wife must be punished in some way..
