Nice place. Hope to have something comparable that fits us someday.
I thought it was on Channel 666 on Sirius XM
“We know that Christ is a member of the Godhead, so if you believe in the Godhead for personal salvation, you are also believing in Christ, however well or ill you understand Him.”

I read this a dozen times, and I’m not sure what you’re getting at with this statement? Since I’m not exactly sure whom you were referencing in your quote, I’ll assume you are referring to Jews. So, are you saying that Jews believe in a Godhead? When we has Christians use this term, we’re speaking of our belief in The Triune God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost if you like). Three persons, but One God. Jews most certainly DO NOT believe in this concept. Just like everyone else, Jews must come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” (John 14:6)
Why is it Mr. Osteen had such a difficult time recalling what the Scriptures said concerning our Salvation...and who are Salvation comes through? He’s supposed to be a Christian Pastor...right?

You said:
“The big problem with Jews (and with a lot of Christians too look in a mirror and check yourself!) is self righteousness. This cuts you off from salvation because you never accept it. The humble one who knows he needs salvation and asks God for it will get it.”
I don’t disagree; we have to accept salvation in order to be saved. You would agree, however, that Jesus did in fact instruct us in the way we were to receive His gift of Salvation...right? I quoted Acts 4:12 and John 14:6 as a starting point, but the Bible is replete with other scriptures that point to one person for our Salvation; Jesus Christ.
It seems to me that the “self-righteous” person, is the person who tries to obtain their Salvation in ways other than what Jesus taught in Scripture.
I’ll ask again, why didn’t Mr. Osteen (A supposed Christian Pastor) tell Larry King how a person is Saved. The Bible is clear; why wasn’t Mr. Osteen?
Mr. Osteen is a typical Seeker-Friendly Pastor. These types of Church’s have the primary goal of being non-offensive to those looking to join their Church. They avoid difficult topics like sin, and instead give four part power point lectures on self-improvement. They present a watered down Gospel that puts our Lord in box. It’s about numbers, not growing Christians.
I am sorry for you if you do not think Christ can do omnipresence every bit as well as the rest of the godhead!
In fact, Christ used the example of a tax collector (publican) who was justified... and he was in the temple addressing God, not “Jesus.”
Oh by the way if the “name” stuff has you confused... in the original Aramaic this was not “Jesus” this was “Yeshua.” The word means “Savior.” Which so happens to be a title that the God of Israel took upon Himself in the bible!
Same name. And names meant something in biblical culture. They identified who you were.
Know that God is a personal savior. Ask Him for personal salvation. Personal salvation granted. If anything Osteen wasn’t bold enough!
“I thought it was on Channel 666 on Sirius XM”
Perfect! LOL!
Way to go... whose snoots can come the closest to the stars!
Red, you and I both know Osteen weaseled out of answering Larry King’s question regarding the salvation of Jews and Muslims apart from faith in Jesus, and His Saving work on the cross. It really is embarrassing watching you twist yourself into a pretzel in order to defend Mr. Osteen’s watered down Christianity.
You and Mr. Osteen can spin it any way you want to, but the Bible is clear:
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12).
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” (John 14:6)
