It means scorched earth.
Leftists have no shame or conscience, why would they regret?
Another one is “doubling down”.

Just one quick comment - it has always been a curiosity to me that people who ostensibly think little of religion and conventional morality seem so to crave moral absolution for the things that they do. One wonders why they bother except perhaps for a persistent feeling that they should care. Where “no regrets” refers to actions outside the individual’s control it’s perfectly healthy, I suppose, but where it refers to things that individual has actually done, it’s really “No conscience!” That’s a rather different thing. Just my $0.02.
I
Thou shall create an illusion of invulnerability shared by most members to foster excessive optimism and encourage extreme risks taking
II
Thou shall not allow any member to question the group's inherent morality; instead members shall be encouraged to ignore the ethical or moral consequences of their decisions
III
Thou shall promote collective efforts to rationalize in order to discount warnings, or other information that might lead members to reconsider their assumptions before they recommit themselves to their assumptions
IV
Thou shall reinforce stereotyped views of enemy leaders as too evil to warrant genuine attempts to negotiate, or as too weak and stupid to counter whatever risky attempts are made to defeat their purpose
V
Thou shall self-censor any deviation from the apparent group consensus, inclining each member to minimize the importance of their doubts and counterarguments
VI
Thou shall create and maintain a shared illusion of unanimity concerning judgment conforming to the majority view
VII
Thou shall apply direct pressure on any member who expresses strong arguments against any of the group's stereotypes, illusions, or commitments, making clear that this type of dissent is contrary to what is expected of all loyal members
VIII
Thou shall appoint mind guards to protect the group from adverse information that might shatter their shared complacency about the effectiveness and morality of their decisions

Taking OsamaObamaCare as one example....it’s understandable why they’d have no regrets. They’re all exempt...so it *us* who’ll have the regrets.
“The end justifies the means.”
They also like to say that you’ll only regret the things that you didn’t do.
Arrogance doesn’t believe in repentance.
For progressives, it is not about results or consequences; it is about intentions.
That way, they have no responsibility should their plans of action end in failure.
To me “no regrets” means: Do whatever you want because it’s all about YOU, never mind if it’s right or wrong, or anyone gets hurt.
It’s immature, selfish, and not based on reality. A “real” life is full of regrets (some big, some small), for those of us who are capable of realizing our mistakes.
“Je ne regret rien” - great song, poor philosophy - bespeaks shallowness and disregard for others.....
They are making incompetence the new wisdom.
“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die . . . in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods. . . .”
It’s like ‘No problem’ for thank you, or ‘Whatever ...’ when you’ve destroyed one in argument, (just before they call you a racist).
It’s right up there with Frank Sinatra and Elvis-— “I Did It My Way”.
The lyrics say: “Regrets, I’ve had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way”
How’s that for hutzpah, mumbo jumbo narcissism all in one-— just like a “mob guy” the chicago way and hillary too LOL.
Which is.. a lot of difference to people of conscience.
It translates to “no accountability”
