I looked him up because of his double talk from the article:

"there's no simple solution to the tens of thousands of cases he oversees each year. .."We have to make an appropriate determination of what's the best thing to do with this person" .. blahblahblah..."our obligation is to hold the person accountable and you do so with the best evidence you have...

AND YET

"...he violated his get out of jail card after being busted for burglary. ... State records show he had nine violations while on probation that included fighting, verbal threats and drinking. ... Lewis ended up back in jail for the violations until October of last year [apparently he was let out then ?!!] Since then police say he was involved in a couple of other shootings before being charged in the playground shooting."

It is all about accountability -- or not having any.

I'm speaking of the DA here, not the perp.
