Good Morning, Race Fans! We have an earlier race today. And, did everyone have Kyle Busch in their fantasy picks? Is he going to sweep the weekend?

See you in a few hours.

Mornin’, y’all!

MrsSgtBob wants to take her folks out for breakfast....the good new is, the closest inclement weather to Dover is just north of Greensville, SC, and it is dissipating while moving northwest.

Back to drudgery....and breakfast:-(

‘Morning. Race will be over by the time we go to church & do an errand after. We’ll record it and watch it ‘bout 5PM West Coast time…

“Hazy sunshine” and high of 74 today at the track. No rain in the forecast.

here's the @eBay @JRMotorsports car I will be driving at Michigan in June

It doesn't look like those little tiny wheels will make it handle very well, they're in the wrong locations...and it's so tall.

now Trans/Am

THAT, my friend, was REAL "stock car" racing.

100... the competition was hard fought, the cars were great, no cookie cutter/silhouette bodies and outstanding drivers, like i said, i still miss it

It was real “run what ya brung” racing, and it was devoid of the gratuitous bumping, rubbing and crashing.

Many or most were owner/driver-built, production platform cars as well.

You’re overthinking this.
Just haul @ss to the Glen for Nationwide.
Lay down in the sun.
Close your eyes.
Listen to the rumble.

Back in the Trans Am days, I think 475hp was about tops/ 2800 lbs min weight. 5.9 lb / hp
Nationwide is about 700 and 3400lbs. 4.9 lb / hp

Just for chuckles, here’s a bunch of yearly rulebooks for Trans Am.

Checking in and batching it today because mrs p6 is at a dance recital with daughter and grand kids.

Waltrip keeps trying to interview Harvick but he's always in the bathroom...

thx... i got to know one of the pit guys on Penske's team back in the day and he showed me how they re-plumbed the air intake to the low pressure area in front of the windshield and painted the nub where the jack went so he wouldn't miss it(specially when hungover) and how they repositioned the oil filter inside the engine compartment so for quick filter changes and they even put the oil under compression so it literally blew the oil into the line through a quick disconnect fitting

those were the days

Oooops!

Concrete track falling apart, damaging a car.

Red flag.

WHOA! Hitting the chunk of concrete was cool BUT patching the pot hole in a couple of minutes is AMAZING!

Would that PENNDOT could do that....

The announcer mentioned they used Bondo to do a quick fix at Daytona in past season.
