But the mystic to the stars was left embarrassed when a woman in a photograph she was passing messages from the spirit world about turned out to be sitting in front of her – alive.
The stage blunder had the audience in stitches, according to blogger Myles Power.
He said: “People can submit photographs of dead loved ones, in the hope Sally gives a psychic reading.
"Sally pulled out a photo of a woman. She began communicating from beyond the grave with a man holding a baby .
“She got in contact with the woman in the photo.
"When she got no response from the audience, she asked whoever submitted it to stand up.
"It turned out the woman got the concept of submitting a picture of someone to talk to wrong, and submitted one of herself.
"The hall erupted in laughter. She was unable to get the audience back.”
Flustered Sally, 62, swiftly moved on after the incident at Middlesbrough.
Her agent Hayley Appleby claimed others gave a different version of events and were upset by the blog.
She said: “It’s someone’s opinion.''
Something similar happened to me.
I had some professional dealings with a woman. After a few months went by she mentioned that she was an Indian medicine woman, a Reiki master, and a medium. To drum up business she told me that she had a message for me from my brother beyond the grave. I told her that usually when my brother wants to send me a message he either calls or emails; since he isn’t DEAD we don’t have to conduct a seance.
An atheist dismissed someone as “godless”? I would think an atheist would dismiss EVERYONE as godless.
I’m not sure who’s “godless”, since I think Randi is an atheist who’s made lots of enemies. But most of the enemies he made are people who needed to be called out.
The late Sylvia Brownes biggest goof was with Amanda Berry, one of the girls imprisoned by the Castro guy in Ohio for 10 years. She told Berrys mother that her daughter was dead, and the woman died thinking this.
Browne had done a similar thing with a missing boy named Shawn Hornbeck a few years earlier.
Probably from the same Indian tribe as Elizabeth Warren , if you know what I mean.
Fake Indians is as big a cottage industry as fake veterans, bigger probably.

Oh, she has a TV show called “Long Island Medium.” She claims to be able to talk to the dead, and she makes a lot of money off vulnerable, grieving people.
She just happens to be good at what these psychic charlatans call “cold reading”. She’ll stand in front of a big audience and say, “Someone here has lost a sister....someone has lost a spouse.” Gee, you think?
There are youtube videos showing she’s a fraud.
I believe Yehova’s word, but those that pray to the dead do not.

Yes, Randi is an atheist. The irony was Browne calling him “godless”. I couldn’t stand to watch her ply her “trade” on TV.
Still I found his TED talk entertaining. And I prayed for him. God has blessed me several times through the uniqueness of unbelievers, who He made.
I looked her up on the Internet, sounds like a real cornball. Psychic/mediums+reality TV, what could go wrong?
It was those “coleetas” that made everything else in the story possible, if you get my drift.
