Dylan is a truly great artist.

And it just goes to show -- if the Left likes you and thinks they can make some use out of you then -- SHAZAAM! -- you get branded as a Leftist hero. They claim you and benefit from you, whether you like it or not.

And if the Left hates someone or something, then that thing is (by definition) "right wing". The Stalinists did not like the National Socialist Workers Party of Germany, and -- voila! -- the Nazis became "right wing".

These guys just don’t always fall into the slots the left likes to put them into.

I can talk all day about him.

He once said that the greatest American Poet was Smokey Robinson, which might be true, but undoubtedly when you look at the work of Dylan his our greatest Poet.

His songs were not widely accepted until other artists did them, in fact, it’s hard to listen to Dylan and accept his voice as musical. Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Ian & Sylvia, Peter, Paul and Mary all hung out with him and did his songs. They spoke of how much they “hated” him, in a loving way, because he was just that good at writing songs.

Having said that, I think he was clearly anti-war in the 60s. I’m not sure if he still Christian, but I think he is.

Very private man, and I love his interviews on youtube. People trying to paint him.

His latest albums grow on you.
