Maybe it was some wise warning your dad once gave you, or maybe it was something useful your coach told you that still guides you today, but what would you consider that best advice you've ever received?

Do you know what became of the first girl?

She married a quite wealthy guy who told my son he could afford her. She got what she wanted and he got the trophy wife he wanted. Three children and 15 yrs later and they divorced last year after a turbulent marriage. Our families are in touch, hence the details. He is now at least half as rich as when they both got what each desired and both are good parents but he is bitter, for no good reason IMO, in that he knew from the beginning he would have to share and indulge her and neither of them changed over time. He had major shortcomings she had to contend with as well. He had not faced the reality of sharing his money and grew less cavalier as time moved on. He is perceived by her to be stingy and that is because he very early on attached strings and she exceeded every limit he thought reasonable, money wise. Neither is at all poor but she is happy and he is not. Live and learn.
