Two Huge Men Allegedly Cornered Her During a Theater Confrontation To Say It Was a Big Mistake Is an Understatement May. 22, 2014 11:15pm Jason Howerton
UFC Womens bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who is also set to star in an upcoming movie based on Brad Thors book Athena Project, once beat up two huge men so badly that they went to the police and filed charges, UFC President Dana White said.
Listen, this is a true story. [Ronda] got into a street fight with two huge guys in a movie theatre. She hurt them both so bad they went to the police department and filed charges against her, when theyre the ones that started the fight with her, he told EsNewsReporting.com recently. That was before she started fighting. That was when she was doing judo alone.

The story is almost certain hogwash. Whatever happened, it wasn’t what was reported, unless she had a gun.
“Help Me,Rhonda,Help Me Get Them Off Of My A$$”!!!!!!!!!
It is theoretically possible, particularly with the element of surprise, but pretty unlikely even then. For her to disable them enough to “win the fight,” she would almost certainly have had to put them into the hospital or possibly kill them. She’d have to attack their most vulnerable points all-out. If things got to a muscle vs. muscle grappling, she’d lose.
For a man of this size and weight to beat up two “huge” guys is unlikely. They’d presumably outweigh him by a factor of 4x to 6x or more. For a women, with little more than half the upper body strength of a man of the same size, it is that much less likely.
For some obscure reason, movies and TV try to convince us that women can compete with men in this arena on a more or less even footing. Just not true, and never will be.
Given equal size and skill, the man will win every time. A woman would have to be MUCH more skilled, and probably lucky too, for her to defeat a larger man in hand to hand. Such women exist, but they’re darn rare.
An intelligent woman who wants to defend herself would carry a gun and spend her time becoming proficient in its use rather than messing about with “self-defense” stuff.
Man, even her “liking” you could be painful. And there wouldn’t be a thing you could do about it.
Oh I like looking at that! Unfortunately at my age I can’t remember WHY I like looking at that!
Al Jardine, is that you?
I think Laz’s philosophy in this case is “whatever it takes”.
It depends on how they were "huge". If it was two NFL linebackers, then yes she would be in trouble. If it was two out of shape fat slobs, then she probably could put a hurting on them.
Your mind is the most important weapon in any battle and considering what these two were more and likely thinking with at the time, I believe it. ;-)
I’m with you, I’m skeptical. Two huge guys were obviously massive pansies.
I’m not small, but it’s not even size. I’d be comfortable to go into those fake UFC rings and walk out victorious (though the way I do things, they may not be breathing).
I’d have no trouble taking this lass on, unless she had a gun and knew how to use it.
I taught unarmed combat in the infantry, and it’s kill in 2 hits or less. Anything less isn’t real fighting.
We have a winner.
Great interview, especially the remasrk about the “300”......LOL!
Considering she was doing the interview, I doubt she lied about anything since it could easily be verified with her local police dept........You did hear about what happened when she was pulled over by them a year later didn't you?
I want one ... but I know I can’t afford it. The maintenance on that model would get oppressive tobesure.
You’ve summed it up about as well as it could be stated.
Why thanks!
This nonsense of men and women being equal in physical confrontation goes back at least four decades.
40 years ago my friends and I used to play sandlot tackle football most Sunday afternoons during the season. Eventually quit when we realized how many injuries we were incurring. I myself broke my ankle in two places trying to be a fullback. :)
The girlfriends and wives used to gather to watch. One day one of the girlfriends decided she wanted to play instead of just watch. She eventually talked us into it, but for several plays guys just went around her carefully. She was offended and insisted we treat her like anybody else.
So we did. Two plays later she limped off the field, bitterly complaining about how “mean” we were. And that was just from some blocking, she was never even tackled.
Pressed Post too quickly.
I’ve often wondered if the young lady in 57 thought she could play football on a level basis with us because women in movies and on TV slug men and do other direct physical stuff that in the real world just would not work at all.
Every action movie has to have some Michelle Rodriguez-like tough chick who kicks every guy’s ass.
So did I. I remember going to school the next day stiff and sore and lucky I didn't have a black eye or cast as some others invariably did.
