Absoutly correct. I teach in an alternative school and we have very few resource items. Many are a waste of money. Some are good if used properly.
One problem with all the high tech. is the attitude of the students. They are of the opinion that they have to be “entertained” in order to do their work. I blame the media, some parents and the schools themselves. We got away from rote memorization etc. because it is boring. I'm sorry. Sometimes that is the best way to learn something. I am too old to change and I am lucky that the powers that be leave us alone.
BTW we get results. My students do as well or better than the regular high school students on state tests. And we have the lowest performing students to try to educate.
How do we do it? Old fashioned work and not buying the bull crap that is ladled out to them that they are “stupid” or have a disability. I tell my kids all the time “you are not stupid, you are just lazy.” I guess some places I would get fired but luckily not here.

Both should be expelled. Period.Teachers should lock up any food and drink the kiddies can get their hands on. And not let kids share food and drink. And don't accept home-made brownies.
It's been that way since the late 1960s. Thousands of kids over the years might be fine. But it only takes one....

Whatever the school did to me was far better than facing my dad...Back then parents were willing to be parents and not their children's "friend". My father rarely hit and never raised his voice, but you beyond the shadow of a doubt that he could if he needed to.
We did many things as a family and my parents raised us to do the right thing.

Not really that often, besides, I also know that people refresh their browsers a lot...especially if they say stuff that gets people ‘bent out of shape’.
You may want to have that cough looked at, you could have a foot or something caught in you throat

Then take it up with the newspaper. The link to the article is provided. The legal arrangement with that paper and FR states that articles from that paper must be excerpted, cannot appear whole on the forum.
