Paul McCartney has canceled his concert in South Korea next week due to the virus-caused illness that forced him to call off his entire Japan tour, organizers said Wednesday.
The former Beatle, who turns 72 next month, had planned to hold concerts in Japan and South Korea as part of his world tour.

The statement said that "Paul is still not feeling better and this cancellation is unavoidable."
Organizers said McCartney's side didn't give them details about his illness. Representatives for McCartney declined to comment to The Associated Press about his condition Wednesday.

He's in great shape, especially for a someone who'll turn 72 in a few weeks.
saw him last year in the States.
Magnificent. It was like history being made.
We all know his politics are screwy. But the music was just great.
Hope he recovers.
Vastly under-rated as a bass player. I listened to Abbey Road again on youtube. I keyed on the bass parts. What a talented and innovative player. I do not think any one band or performer will ever reach the heights this band of beatles reached.
Composition, arrangement, melody, harmony, Lyrics, production, George Martin was called the fifth Beatle. He taught them well.
I hope Paul McCartney will recover from whatever ails him.
It’s a real bitch getting old.
What an irony if Ringo Starr, who is the oldest member, were to outlive the lads.
Then there is George Harrison, who believed in reincarnation. He is no longer dead . . . he came back as a beetle.
The concert series he’s held in the last few years are Herculean for somebody in their fifties.
I think he needs to cut back in the future.
Indeed.
He should have worn shoes while crossing the road.
Get well, Paul!
He did an interview recently in which he said the set is structured for him to take breaks by sitting at the piano(s) for stretches of time. He doesn’t run around on stage and he doesn’t drink water until after the show.
“he came back as a beetle.”
No, he didn’t belive in transmigration of the soul. He’s probably Jackie Evancho...
I don’t recall that from the set.
It was lots of Beatles, lots of Wings, and some recent McCartney....
If he makes it to the US, I’d encourage anyone to attend.
He’s an amazing piano player. He can do LOTS more than Hey Jude and Let it be.....
Have you heard his latest, NEW? Or Memory Almost Full? GREAT efforts, Beatlesque. Bob
Was that him on bass on Golden Slumbers? Magnificent.
We all know his politics are screwy. But the music was just great.
He fits the “ Just shut up and sing” mantra....
When Paul really is dead, people will say it's just another hoax!
I read recently that after the breakup of the Beatles he became very depressed. He needs to perform as it’s all he’s done since he was 15.
I’m thinking either pneumonia or something he ate or drank in Japan is making him sick.
