Vastly under-rated as a bass player. Was that him on bass on Golden Slumbers? Magnificent.

Paul played all the instruments on his first solo record. Everything on “Maybe, I’m Amazed” was him...not a shabby guitar solo there.
He did the guitar solo on “Taxman”, which was one of the better Beatle guitar solos.
And once John quipped that Ringo wasn’t even the best drummer in the Beatles.

Lacking the album cover credits I can’t say, but yes, I believe it is him. He sang that one too. Really stretched himself on the high notes. Paul loves to perform and will until he dies I believe.

No, Golden Slumbers/Carry that Weight was recorded by the "Threetles" while John Lennon was in the hospital recovering from an auto accident. The basic rhythm tracks were Paul on piano, George on bass, and Ringo on drums. Same for Maxwell's Silver Hammer, as confirmed by the Anthology 3 track.
