Cats in Bags! - Compilation (Cole and Marmalade)
Welcome. This ping list is a lot of fun and well run.
Thanks. And I love cats. I have 5, which is way more than my quota. But two are outside feral that I couldn’t turn away...
Same problem for my four cats. Three were raised in the house and dont know there is an outside. The fourth loves to go outside and will dart out any chance he gets. The funniest thing in the world is to see my hubby walking his cat on a leash.
In addition to coyotes and wildcats, we have an owl with an 8 foot wingspan and golden eagles nesting in the bluff just behind our house. Any cat outside unattended learns to fly in a real big hurry....
Yeah, we have three that are from the same litter and were born outside, and were never allowed into the house until a tragic circumstance (bolt of lightning) took our dogs - and home - from us. They were brought indoors while still small, so their recollection of the outside world wasn’t completely imprinted on them. However, the mother was an outdoor cat, as was her mother, in turn, so we now have five from three direct generations living indoors with us. One - who we call Runt-Runt, but our grandson originally (and aptly) named ‘Tater Tot’ - stopped growing at about 16 weeks of age, so she looks like a stuffed Hallmark Card store holiday gift. If she were any smaller, she’d look right at home in a curio cabinet - a true feline elf. We have various raptors around here that could carry off a cat with ease, not to mention the turkey vultures who dine on the leftovers (and generally view automobiles as an annoyance, not a threat). Crows are viewed as cockroaches in the avian food chain around here. It’s always best to keep your domesticated companions well-sheltered in environments such as ours. My wife has one male tabby whom I’ve bonded to in the last year or so, due to the fact that the house is otherwise a sea of estrogen, so we’re ‘best buds’: he comes when I call him, and hangs out in my den with me when so disposed. He’s the hoodlum, delinquent, and rebel of the bunch, but that’s a guy for you. LOL
