Those have to be dry well FH! Wet wells are made of brass and will burst if temps too low CA has wet wells, how do I know I installed a ton. Upper elevation in CA and any area subject to low temps we install dry wells. ! Dry wells are made of cast iron and shut off below freeze zone. Not much value in cast iron! Maybe at most 10 cents a lb! All they accomplished was vandalism.

To shut down a water main you need a Gate Key, It’s about 6 ft in length and has a square that is made to fit the Gate Valve! A wet well has hollow bolts that secure it to a flange on piping that is encased in concrete, so if you hit it with your car it snaps off like you see in the movies. If you hit a dry well it will prob just lean a bit and your car is screwed! Dry wells are encased in concrete
at the ditch line to prevent blow off @ 200 plus lbs per sq inch!
