After reading the article I understand the distaste that some people have over this. The gift shop is over the area where 8000 unidentified bodies rest. The mother of one of those unidentified bodies makes a point to say that the gift shop is just another way to bloat the already expensive staffing. She doesn’t appreciate this happening over a tomb of the unknown.
Exactly, bottom line is it’s a graveyard. All the graveyards I ever visited don’t charge $24 bucks and have a gift shop.
I agree with you. And that mother is probably onto something regarding the salaries. Like to see a breakdown on that.
Capitalism is, indeed, a good thing, but this sounds tacky and crass.
