When the leaves just start turning yellow, you can start cutting them. Or if they get too beat up. I use rebent paperclips to hang them. I'll post a picture next time I hang a leaf.

I use romain lettuce. During the hot summer months, I rely mostly on chard. It's not lettuce, but it's a leafy green that can be eaten raw.

If that tropical lettuce grows in our heat, I will surely send you seed and if the Little Gem also grows in our heat, will send you that seed. Both these seeds are heirloom.

Is there some way to make it taste good? I have a ton of it in the garden, but I don't like the taste.
