I planted some little Gem (Burpee seeds from Home Depot), but it never came up. I think I accidentally fried those two flats in the greenhouse one day. I do have some “free” lettuce from Mom & Pop nursery that is red sails and red romaine. They’re doing good, and not bitter like my black seeded simpson.
I’ve ordered those two types and maybe I’ll have lettuce. I buy Romaine at the store but darn I want my own. I looked at the tropical one on their website and it’s a loose head with the leaves green with a swath of color on them but still basically green leaves.
