I searched the Bible for every mention of dogs. Every mention is negative. Wolves are shown in a positive light now and then but dogs never are. I can’t find instances of domesticated cats, but lions are often positive, and our Lord is called the Lion of Judah.

I have the ‘Lion of Judah’ as my screensaver. :-)

In addition; the cat was providing security for the family...also a CONSERVATIVE trait.

I stand, refuted and humbled.

Perhaps, however, this.

I’m sure Jezebel wasn’t too thrilled with dogs in her last moments...

Excellent point...my wife and I would both agree with President Washington...a friend of the family in times past.

"That dog had to be known as being “unfriendly” at the very least.

Perhaps not. Instinct. Prey drive. The things which separate humans from animals. Some dogs are "field biters;" meaning when their owners are present, they're cuddly lap dogs. When the owners are not present, or the dog is uncontrolled and off the property, operating all by his lonesome, they behave quite differently. Hence, the source of much conflict between owners of "Pitties," and those that despise Pit Bulls. My own experience in this regard stems from an attack by of all breeds...a Cocker Spaniel!

Yes

I’m in the process of moving. I don’t want to adopt , well I think it would be prudent to wait til I’m all settled in the new digs and then get a cat.

Im stressed, it just wouldn’t be fair to a new cat. Boy, do I hate moving.

Aw, that is sweet! I think cats are smarter than they want us to think they are.

I believe they had security cameras on their property. Between that and the neighbor having a guard dog, it sounds like the neighborhood isn’t that safe.

My Cocker Spaniel was the most loving dog I ever had.

Note: DO NOT TRY TO PULL A TICK FROM A DOG`S LIP !

He also bit a groomer .... 6 stitches. fortunately the groomer did not sue, has been bitten before and saw it as an occupational hazard, but refused him as a client for future haircuts.

I was able to extract the tick at the cost of a tooth going through my index finger, nail and all.

I was just a little irritated at dog people telling me how great their dogs were, so I wanted to see what God thought about their dogs.

Good for you. There seems to be such a disparity in intensity of "partisanship" between dog lovers and cat preferers. I don't see anywhere near the irrational, acrid hatred for cats exhibited by some exclusively dog lovers as exclusive cat lovers have for dogs. Most cat lovers also seem to love most other animals, including dogs, or simply have indifference for dogs. But many dog lovers want cats dead, if not tortured.

Man, I can almost hear the cat snarling, hissing and spitting at that dog. I’ve seen how angry a cat can get when you mess with what they value.
