Its (Not so) Fun to stay at the YMCA.

Maybe they could substitute GW Bush for the Indian.

Obviously these people don’t know what the song is really about.

The sickness has spread everywhere.

This is a bit confusing. How can this homosexual anthem be a bad thing? Aren’t little kids supposed to know and sing this with enthusiasm?
To: Responsibility2nd
Now somebody needs to say they're glad it was cancelled because it glorifies sodomy.

It is always amazing that one person can get this shut down but if half the parents protest a sex-ed course, they are ignored and vilified.

Whatever happened to majority rules? One parent? She could just to allow her kid to not participate. Jeez! BTW, I think it's an incredibly dumb thing to have 1st graders do. Just for the record.

North Dakota elementary school will not be allowing the young men and women in a first-grade class to perform YMCA. Young men and women? In the first grade? Geez!!

i’d come up with a better excuse not to sit through watching kids “perform” YMCA.

The guy in leather was a biker? I always thought he was dressed as a homosexual.
It would be hilarious if someone were to attack this mother, and the fact that the performance was cancelled, on the basis of homophobia ... claiming it was really shut down due to problems with the homosexual overtones of the group ...

The virus has even hit North Dakota.

Whatever else might be said, I don’t recall the Indian Chief being a source of conroversy when the VP were releasing their hits during the late 1970s.
Seems like just another hyper-sensitive ninny looking for a reason to be offended if that’s the only objection to kids performing a VP song.

You can’t win these days.
“Itsy Bitsy Spider” would probably enrage PETA.

Ms Bolman, why don’t you move to California and not contaminate the state of North Dakota.
