I don’t know for sure, but I imagine if you start at the Greenwich Meridian and start walking counterclockwise around the pole, you’ll be in Western Antarctica for a good bit.

See post 15. West Antarctica is the part of Antarctica which is in the western hemisphere, i.e. the half of the world where the Americas are.

We refer to the Orient as the Far East.

Could it not also be called the Far West?
