Last night I was having trouble sleeping. Around 1 am, I got out of bed and went out back to sit on the deck and gaze at the stars. The sky was clear with a Smiling Cheshire cat moon on its slow journey to the western horizon. The tree frogs serenaded with bugs singing back up. Over the course of an hour I saw 5 or 6 meteors streak across the dark morning sky. As Carl Sagan always said, there were billions and billions of stars. Far to the north something caught my eye. It was not a meteor, not a star and not a plane. It was a small absence of light and it was moving slowly in my direction. I could only track its progress due to the disappearance and reappearance of stars. I could not determine its shape but it was getting larger and blocking more and more stars. Then it stopped and so did the tree frogs and insects. By the angle of its position in relationship to where I was sitting, my guess it was it was maybe 200 ft away and approximately 1500 ft above the ground. With the ambient light I could now see that it was shaped like a Clovis point arrowhead. I then noticed it was descending toward the cow pasture behind my house just on the other side of the creek. Then it hovered about 10 feet above the pasture totally motionless without a sound. Being the curious type I crept down the steps into the yard to the back gate on the privacy fence. Silently I opened and passed through the gate into the hedge row. Slowly I moved though the trees then belly crawled under the barbed wire fence keeping an eye on the arrowhead. I crawled across the pasture and the creek and took cover behind a large deadfall tree about 50 ft from the object. My watch showed 30 minutes had passed since I had left the deck. At my new vantage point I estimated the arrowhead to 150 ft long, 75 ft wide at the tail, narrowing toward the nose which came to a 3 ft wide curved point. From stem to stern the craft was very thin at the edges and rose to be about 6 feet thick at the center. There were no windows. Still there was no sound no motion. I could now see that 20 or so cows were directly under the craft in a circle each about 6 ft apart, facing the center. Suddenly a 15 ft circle of light appeared on the ground in the center the circle formed by the cows. There was no beam coming from the craft, just light on the ground as if the ground was backlit. I then realized the cows were standing but asleep. Then humanoid figures appeared on the edge of the light circle facing the cows. There were an equal number of figures to the number of cows. They all wore bluish metallic clothing from head to toe with Ray Ban Aviator shaped large lenses covering their eyes. As if on queue the figures walked slowly toward the cows. Then each stopped next to the front left shoulder of a cow. Then they turned toward the cow. Then they turned their heads facing the center of the circle. It had a military precision to it. I was intrigued. Then in unison they turned their heads back toward their respected cows, extended their arms forward, stepped forward and tipped their cows over. The cows jumped up off the ground and ran away in every direction mooing loudly as they ran. Then in pairs the figures turned and ran toward each other and jumped for a chest bump like they had scored a touchdown. All the military precision disappeared as they all walked back to the center of the circle. They were high fiving each other and making noises like a human laughing after sucking helium. In the center of the circle two boxes had appeared. One looked like a very large cooler and the other was a 2’X2’ golden cube. They opened the cooler and took out what looked like beer cans and sounded like pop tops at they opened them. The material covering their faces must have been porous since they all appeared to drink from the cans. Then they threw them on the ground and got another and sat on the ground drinking one after another laughing and apparently talking. After about 10 cans each, they returned to the edge of the light circle. Once again with military precision they relieved themselves and then disappeared. The cooler also disappeared along with all the empty cans on the ground. Only the golden cube remained and it appeared to have a piece of paper taped to the top. Suddenly the circle of light disappeared. The arrowhead ascended to about 1500 ft. It rotated its nose to the north and slowly swerving left and right headed in a northerly direction. After 10 minutes or so it was gone. All I could think was rednecks are everywhere. I stood up and walked toward the cube. I took my mini flashlight out of my pocket and looked at the piece of paper. It was a note that said, “Thanks for not spoiling our fun”. Then the lid on the cube slowly opened. I shined the light inside and found it to be……………………………………. full of bullshit, just like the rest of the story. I slept like a baby last night.
